Richard is a pioneer in the field of Driver Fatigue Research. His work has advanced the fundamental understanding of driver fatigue, its biological and behavioral manifestations and its effect on driving performance. As leader of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Heavy Vehicle Drowsy Driver Program, Dr. Grace has worked with world leading researchers to better understand the problem of driver fatigue. Richard also teaches the course, "Understanding and Coping with Driver Fatigue."

Warren Young

Warren has more than 40 years experience in the trucking industry. Warren served as Vice President of Engineering at Freightliner LLC before retiring in 1999. Over his career Warren as been a driving force for innovation. He has worked with commercial fleets and the military to introduce a number of new products including ABS brakes and satellite tracking and communications systems.

Ellen Ayoob

While at the National Robotics Engineering Consortium at Carnegie Mellon University, Ellen researched many of the assumptions, needs and values of the drivers and the development team. This work contributed directly to new interaction and interface concepts that are reflected in a DD850 user interface that is engaging, easy to use, and provides drivers with information that they need to make safe decisions.
